ListeningClassroom.com exists for one purpose: to make it easier for English teachers to create high-quality listening materials — for free, without technical barriers.

Preparing dictation tracks, listening exercises, and narrated presentations takes time. We built this tool so that any teacher can generate professional-sounding audio in seconds, without needing an account, a subscription, or technical skills.

This tool is designed primarily for:

  • Language tutors who need pronunciation models and reading-aloud examples.

⚙️ How It Works

ListeningClassroom.com uses a state-of-the-art neural text-to-speech model called Kokoro TTS, which runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. This means:

  • Your text is never sent to any server — everything is processed locally on your device.
  • The tool works offline after the first load (the voice model is cached in your browser).
  • No account, no API key, no subscription — completely free.
Quick Listen mode uses your browser's built-in Web Speech API for instant playback. Download MP3 mode uses the Kokoro neural model for studio-quality audio you can save and share.

🔒 Privacy and Safety

We take privacy seriously, especially given that teachers may be preparing materials for students and classroom use. The tool is designed with privacy as a default:

  • No text you enter is stored or transmitted.
  • No user accounts or personal data are collected.
  • Audio files are generated locally and downloaded directly to your computer.
